1Scope

1. 1.1This License applies to every podcast RSS feed published by WavPub One ("WavPub") whose <podcast:license> element points to this page (the "Feed").
2. 1.2The audio and video files and their URLs, the titles, show notes, artwork, chapters and other metadata of the show and its episodes, and the feed document itself are together the "Content".
3. 1.3Any person, organization, software or service that accesses the Feed, manually or programmatically — including podcast apps, aggregators, directories, search services, AI assistants and crawlers — is a "Third Party".

2Ownership

1. 2.1Copyright and related rights in the Content belong to the respective creators or rights holders and are protected by the Copyright Law of the People's Republic of China and applicable international treaties.
2. 2.2WavPub is the technical service provider authorized by the creators to distribute the Feed, measure its audience and provide related services, and holds the corresponding rights in the Feed's arrangement, structure and technical identifiers.
3. 2.3Nothing in this License transfers any right, and no license is implied beyond what is expressly granted here.

3Permitted Use

Subject to this License, a Third Party may:

1. 3.1subscribe to the Feed and cache the feed document in accordance with HTTP caching semantics (ETag, Last-Modified, Cache-Control);
2. 3.2stream the audio or video in real time through the URLs given in the Feed, in order to let its users listen;
3. 3.3use the titles, show notes, artwork, chapters and other metadata to present the show to its users, keeping all attribution and copyright notices intact;
4. 3.4in the case of a podcast app, save an episode file on the user's own device for that user's offline listening; the file must not be uploaded, shared or otherwise made available to anyone else.

This permission is non-exclusive, revocable and non-transferable.

4Prohibited Use

Without the creator's express written permission and prior written notice to WavPub, a Third Party must not:

1. 4.1mirror or redistribute the audio or video files server-side, or serve cached copies of them to end users;
2. 4.2bypass, replace or rewrite the media URLs given in the Feed (including by accessing their redirect targets directly), or otherwise circumvent WavPub's audience measurement;
3. 4.3remove, hide or alter any attribution, source information, copyright notice, the <podcast:license> element or this License;
4. 4.4publish the Content or a substantial part of it under its own name, or offer it as its own work or product.

5Indexing, AI Processing and Attribution

1. 5.1Unless the creator has expressly opted out, WavPub welcomes search engines, AI assistants, podcast directories and apps to index the Content and to transcribe, summarize or embed it — for retrieval, recommendation, captions and accessibility, and for answers and summaries based on the Content.
2. 5.2Any presentation or answer derived from the Content — search results, summaries, AI-generated answers, chapters and quotations — should name the show and its creator and link back to the Feed or the episode's official address, so that listeners can find the source.
3. 5.3When offering playback, always stream through the media URLs given in the Feed: no self-hosted copies, no rewritten URLs. This is what keeps the Content freely open — it is how creators learn who their listeners are.
4. 5.4Anyone intending to use the Content to train general-purpose artificial-intelligence models should notify WavPub in advance at licensing@wav.pub; WavPub can coordinate permission on the creators' behalf. Where a creator has published their own statement for their show, that statement governs.
5. 5.5A Third Party accessing the Feed or its media URLs programmatically must use an identifiable User-Agent with contact information, honor conditional requests and cache directives, and access at a reasonable rate; media fetched for indexing or processing must also be fetched through the URLs given in the Feed, and no copy that could be made available to others may be retained after processing. WavPub may rate-limit, refuse or otherwise technically restrict access that violates this Section.

6Requesting Permission

1. 6.1Any use beyond Sections 3 and 5 — including mirrored distribution, wholesale republication and commercial reuse — requires the relevant creator's prior written permission and written notice to WavPub at licensing@wav.pub. WavPub may receive and coordinate such requests on the creators' behalf.
2. 6.2Absent written permission, the use is unauthorized.

7Acceptance and Enforcement

1. 7.1Accessing the Feed, manually or programmatically, constitutes acknowledgment that you have read, understood and unconditionally accepted this License in full.
2. 7.2WavPub and the creators reserve the right to take all legal measures against any violation, including terminating access, demanding cessation and remedy, and claiming full compensation for resulting losses, including reasonable enforcement costs.

8Versions

1. 8.1This is Version 1 of the License, identified as wavpub-podcast-license-v1, effective on the date stated above.
2. 8.2The address of this page will not change. Any revision will be published under a new version number at a new address, and the <podcast:license> element in the Feed will be updated accordingly; the version the Feed points to at the time of access governs.

9Governing Law

1. 9.1The formation, validity, interpretation and dispute resolution of this License are governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China (excluding those of Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan).
2. 9.2Disputes arising from this License are subject to the jurisdiction of the competent people's court where WavPub's operating entity is located (Tianjin).
3. 9.3The Chinese text of this License prevails; the English text is for reference only.
